Hubballi: South Western Railway will extend the services of Train No. 06545/06546 Yeshwantpur-Vijayapura-Yeshwantpur Express Special. The service of train No. 06545 Yeshwantpur-Vijayapura Express Special, which has been notified to run earlier from Yeshwantpur until June 30, will be further extended until September 30. The service of Train No. 06546 Vijayapura-Yeshwantpur Express Special, which has been notified to operate earlier from Vijayapura until July 1, will be further extended until October 1. There will be no change in their schedules, stops, composition and days of service of said trains. It is decided to change the terminal of train n° 17323/17324 SSS Hubballi-Varanasi-SSS Hubballi Weekly Express from Varanasi to Benares. Train No. 17323 SSS Hubballi-Varanasi Weekly Express will terminate/arrive in Varanasi at 8:40 a.m. instead of Varanasi after starting its journey at SSS Hubballi from June 24. Train No. 17324 Varanasi-SSS Hubballi Weekly Express will depart/depart Varanasi at 8:40 p.m. instead of Varanasi after starting its journey in Varanasi from June 26. There will be no changes in their schedules, stops, composition and service days of the above trains.
National Lok Adalat
Dharwad: Rashtriya Lok Adalat will take place at Dharwad district on June 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Senior District and Sessions Judge Umesh Adiga said the Lok Adalat will take place in the district court here and in other subordinate courts in the taluks. Lok Adalat aims to solve pending cases in court through drugs. Disputes such as civil cases, criminal cases, traffic accidents, family disputes, workers’ compensation and others, which could be resolved through mediation, will be handled. Arrangements have also been made to resolve pre-litigation incidents related to banks, labor law and water and electricity supply in Lok Adalats, according to a statement.
Amrit Mahotsav Festival
Belagavi: Preparations have begun at the following five historical places in the district for the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on June 25: Kittur (associated with Queen Rani Channamma), Belawadi (the birthplace of Belawadi Mallamma), Hudali (place of Gandhi Seva Sammelan frequented by the Mahatma), Nandagad (place where Sangolli Rayanna was hanged) and Hulkund in Ramdurg taluk. The Kannada and Culture Department will organize a special “Amrut Bharatige Kannadadarati” program at the venues. There will also be a procession of women holding pots (kumbhas), folk troupes, youth organizations and SHGs. Various cultural programs illustrating patriotism, lectures and poetry recitals will also be organized.
SSK Community Meeting
Hubballi: The SSK Community of Karnataka State will hold a state-level youth convention at the Cubix Hotel here on June 26. SSK Community President Ashok Katwe told reporters here Thursday that more than 500 young people from across the state will attend the convention, which will discuss topics like opportunities for young people in higher education, their role in the improvement of the economic situation of the region and their political significance. National and state leaders of the community will also attend the meeting. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and former CM Jagadish Shettar will inaugurate the convention.
Dharwad: Bharateeya Sangeeta Vidyalaya will hold a Hindustani Classical Vocal Concert by Pandit Raghunandan Panshikar from Pune at Srujana Auditorium here at 5.45pm on Sunday. The concert, which will be held in memory of the late GR Kulkarni, is sponsored by Prashant Nursing Home and SM Shivaprasad, Principal of Karnatak State Higher Education Academy. Panshikar will be accompanied on tabla by Shridhar Mandre and on harmonium by Guruprasad Hegde.
