Jeff Esposito named General Manager of Convention Center, Sportscenter

Jeff Esposito has been named the next general manager of the Owensboro Convention Center and the Owensboro Sportscenter, effective May 25. He replaces Laura Alexander, who recently took on a new venue management position in Lexington.

“I am beyond thrilled to join the incredible team at the Owensboro Convention Center and work with local stakeholders to serve this vibrant community,” said Esposito.

OVG360 (formerly Spectra), venue management provider for the Convention Center and Sportscenter, made the announcement Thursday.

Esposito most recently served as Executive Director of CAM-PLEX Multi-Event Facilities in Gillette, Wyoming. According to OVG360, Esposito’s accomplishments during his stay included modernizing the policies, procedures and operations of the multi-purpose facility to current industry standards.

Esposito’s previous experience includes serving as co-manager of Walmart stores and general manager of the Bayfront Convention Center, both in Erie, Pennsylvania.

“We are thrilled to have Jeff come to Owensboro to lead the OVG360 team,” said Nate Pagan, Owensboro City Manager. “Recognized in the industry as a decisive and results-oriented leader, we are confident that he will continue to cement the Owensboro Convention and Athletic Center as a Commonwealth venue to host conferences and events that have a significant economic impact on our community.”

OVG360, a division of Oak View Group, is a full-service venue management and hospitality company with a portfolio of over 200 client-partners spanning arenas, stadiums, convention centers, performing arts, cultural institutions and state fairs worldwide. .
