Metizoft will provide HMI services for Wisdom Marine Lines

Consulting company Metizoft specializes in the documentation of hazardous materials on board ships for compliance with Inventory of hazardous materials (IHM). The process involves both initial documentation and maintenance of a database when spare parts are added to the vessel for repairs and maintenance.

“Metizoft offers by far the most comprehensive HMI maintenance solution. With their long and proven track record, we know we are in safe hands,” said Tsaur Shuang-Chau, Technical Manager at Wisdom Marine Lines.

HMI is required to comply with the EU Ship Recycling Regulation (EU SRR) and the Hong Kong Convention (HKC) for the safe and environmentally sound recycling of ships. It has been mandatory under the EU SRR since the end of 2020 for EU-flagged vessels and vessels of all flags calling at EU ports.

“We are honored that Wisdom Marine Lines has appointed Metizoft as their partner for IHM Maintenance,” said Clement Chang, COO, Metizoft Asia.

“Metizoft guarantees HMI compliance, reducing costs and potential failures. We meet all requirements as per HMI needs and are certified by major classification societies.

Wisdom Marine is Taiwan’s largest dry bulk shipowner and is listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
