Epic is set to host the Fortnite World Cup for the year 2022. In a recent tweet, the creators announced FNCS Invitational 2022, and that it will be held at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA . The event will take place from November 12 to 13, 2022.

This year, Epic returns with an in-person competition for the first time since 2019. Players will compete for a $1 million prize pool. It is speculated that the event will be covered by Danish esports entertainment company BLAST.


FNCS 2022 will be the first in-person Fortnite event after COVID-19

For the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Epic will host the World Cup in person. The company maintains that player health is of the utmost importance and will strictly adhere to government policy regarding COVID-19 during the event.

Epic also warned that the event could be postponed in the event of a drastic change in the public health situation or any other recommendation made by the regional law governing the venue.


FNCS 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The Fortnite World Cup qualification phase is open to all players, but they must meet the following criteria:

  • The player must be at least 13 years old.
  • In the event that a player is under the age of 18 and wishes to participate, the player needs a consent form from the parent or legal guardian.
  • The player must have no violations and must be on good terms with Epic Games.
  • The player’s account level must be at least level 15.
  • Players who will advance to the Finals must enable two-factor authentication for their Epic account.

Any player, whether on mobile, PC or game console, will be able to participate in the Qualifications.

There will be 10 weekly qualifying events, and only the top 100 solo players and top 50 duo players will qualify for the Fortnite World Cup Finals. Players will be divided into five distinct regions, depending on which region they are playing in.

Step 1

The competition will start with the Arena mode, where players will have to earn as many points as possible to reach the top and qualify for the Open tournament.

2nd step

Players who qualify in Arena mode will be able to participate in the Fortnite Open tournament. They will have three hours and up to 10 games to try to score as many points as possible. A number of top players will then advance to the Open finals.

Step 3

The best players from each region will play for three hours and up to 10 games to score as many points as possible. Once the time is up, Epic will determine who will qualify for the prize pool.

Since this is the first in-person event post-pandemic, it will definitely be a sight to behold. Everyone is thrilled that Epic is returning to the format. Top players will soon begin to hone and hone their skills and it will be exciting to see who wins the coveted Fortnite World Cup.
